About UsThe True 802 Wireless, Inc. management team has been in the wireless telecommunication industry deploying voice and data networks for almost 50 years. Comprised of highly energetic and self-motivated individuals, our staff is extremely knowledgeable in the dynamic world of wireless communications. We have consulted in the deployment of networks throughout, Canada, the United States, and around the world. Profile – Rheal ForgetteRhéal Forgette takes a network from the conceptual phase all the way to the deployment phase. As the founder of True 802 he brings almost 20 years experience and an innovative "thinking out of the box" approach to all projects. Rhéal holds two diplomas from Cambrian College in Electronic Engineering Technology and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Math from the University of Guelph He has several years with Bell Canada in Ontario. For almost a decade now, Rhéal has provided technical expertise and project management to various clients throughout the world including the Municipality of Killarney, City of Toronto, Telus Mobility, Bell Canada, Sprint PCS, Motorola, Lucent Technologies, AirTouch, GTE Wireless, CricKet Communications and CTI. For those clients, he held various roles from Senior RF Engineer to Lead RF Engineer designing and implementing PCS systems, 2-way radio systems and broadband fixed wireless networks. These projects typically were from the design phase to the commercialization and deployment phase. In most roles, Rhéal managed the Team of Engineers within a given area ensuring all aspects of the projects were dealt with. Most recently, he has been involved in CDMA 3G 1xRTT deployments for Sprint PCS and Telus Mobility. He led the commercialization roll out of the 3G 1xRTT technology for Telus Mobility in the Greater Toronto Area. This included project management and capacity planning for the mobile system for voice and packet data. In this capacity, he became very familiar with packet data and TCP/IP. For Sprint PCS, he leads the RF engineering efforts for a system expansion in the Manhattan , NY area. He has extensive field experience in CDMA 3G 1xRTT PCS systems integration, voice trunking systems, spread spectrum design, microwave radio design, integration and acceptance, access network custom designs, T1/E1 and fractional T1/E1 radio design and implementation, wireless LAN technologies and general knowledge of fiber optic design, SONET and SDH. Profile – James McConnellJames is a retired United States Marine Corps Captain with over 27 years of experience in the design, installation, maintenance and management of a variety of telecommunications technologies, both military and civilian. As co-founder of True 802 Wireless, Inc., James heads-up operations in the Eastern United States . James has a BS degree from Campbell University in North Carolina and an MS degree in Systems Management from Capitol College in Maryland, and has completed multiple training regimens during his 21-year career in the Marines to include the Basic Electronics Course, the Telephone-Switchboard Repair Course, the Technical Circuit Controller's Course, and The Basic Communications Officers Course. James' military career experience includes service as a Telephone-Switchboard Repairman, Outside Plant Telephone Technician, Technical Circuit Controller, Construction Platoon Commander, Telephone Switching Systems Officer, and Professional Military Instructor, the later teaching telecommunications courses to junior and mid-level military officers. Upon retirement from the Marine Corps in 1997, James transitioned into the civilian sector as an RF Engineer, and has consulted on the design of CDMA wireless telephone systems in seven US States for companies such as Sprint PCS, Illinois PCS, and Cricket Communications. James is also experienced in representing wireless carriers before governmental bodies such as zoning boards, explaining in laymen's terms how these complicated wireless systems work. Profile – Chad WhaleyChad has been a RF Engineering consultant in the Telecommunications Industry
for over nine years. During his tenure in the industry, his multicultural
experience has encompassed multiple technologies, leadership roles and
clients. In addition to holding a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology
from Purdue University, he is a certified Grant Administrator for the
State of Indiana in which he assists Indiana communities in obtaining
Federal funding for community development projects. |
